With our many fine restaurants and marinas and a fabulous view of the bay from Kennedy Park (once known as 'High Banks Park') this little town is one of the great attractions to the Jersey Shore. The City Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics Offices are closed to the public, but we are fully staffed and here to assist you. The following is the procedure for obtaining a birth, marriage or death certificates during the Covid-19 Pandemic: At this time, all applications are being processed through the mail. Applications are located in the back vestibule of City Hall or on our website at www.somerspointgov.org. Applications may be submitted by mail or hand-delivered to the drop box located in the vestibule of City Hall. Completed applications must be accompanied by photocopies of the requested identification with current mailing address, a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and a check or money order payable to “City of Somers Point” (Out of state checks will not be accepted). Additional directions and requirements are on the application. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please call (609) 927-9088 x122 or email Ehornig@spgov.org Marriage License Applications for Somers Point Residents: All marriage license applications will be processed by appointment only utilizing ZOOM. Please contact the Local Registrar of Vital Statistics Office at 609-927-9088 x122 to schedule your appointment.
